Social media is a fairly simple exercise for individuals, solopreneurs, politicians, and maybe even small business. If you're a big organization, say like ESPN, IBM, or the US Marines, social media's not only complex, it can be downright scary.
Our September meeting was designed to drill down to the core value of social media (through the hype, hyperbole, and hysteria) to reveal what's truly worthwhile about it. October's meeting will continue that focus by giving us a serious perspective on the impact of social media on big companies and the challenges they face in dealing with a over-hyper connected world.
Gavin Baker, Social Media Manager for Ruby Tuesdays, based in Knoxville, will be with us to give us the insider's look at incorporating social media into the marketing mix for a 901 restaurant chain.
